About Custer County Court Docket

Custer County court matters use two trial-court levels, two local clerk custodians, statewide search tools, and separate calendar and filing systems. This private reference resource organizes the official starting points so a person can distinguish a County Court matter from a District Court matter and use the court's own record terminology.

Why We Built This Site

Nebraska makes many court indexes and records accessible, but the local route can still be hard to sort out. Custer County Court and Custer District Court share a Judicial Center address in Broken Bow, yet they keep different record groups and have different clerks. The County Court clerk, Debra Hansen, handles traffic, misdemeanor, ordinance, small-claims, probate, guardianship, adoption, juvenile, and County Court civil matters. The District Court clerk, Amy Oxford, handles District Court criminal, civil, mental-health, judgment, and docket records. Nebraska JUSTICE brings the public trial-court index together, while the court calendar and clerk copy process answer different questions.

What You Will Find Here

  • Docket explanations: routes for reading criminal dockets and civil dockets at the appropriate Custer court level.
  • Hearing information: a way to use the court calendar and confirm a Custer setting with the correct clerk.
  • Statewide lookup details: how to run a case search by party name or case number through Nebraska JUSTICE.
  • Copy-request information: how court records, registers, and certified copies are requested from the clerk that holds the case.
  • Traffic case routing: how a traffic court record connects a citation, a County Court case, and a current court setting.

What We Cannot Do

Custer County Court Docket is a privately operated reference resource. It is not part of the Nebraska Judicial Branch, a court, or a clerk's office. Only the court that heard the matter and the clerk that keeps its file can supply an official record or act on a live case.

  • We cannot obtain an official Register of Actions, case file, or court document for a visitor.
  • We cannot change, continue, reset, or otherwise manage a Custer court setting.
  • We cannot remove, seal, amend, or interpret a court case or case record.
  • We cannot issue certified copies of a docket, judgment, order, or other Custer court record.
  • We cannot provide legal advice about a citation, hearing, case, deadline, or court filing.
  • We cannot guarantee that a live court interface, fee, or setting has not changed since it was checked.

Official Custer records come from Debra Hansen for County Court matters or Amy Oxford for District Court matters. Nebraska JUSTICE is the public search layer, not a substitute for a clerk-certified record.

Search Partners

Some pages include search boxes operated by third-party providers. Those providers run their own services and set their own pricing. If a provider leads to a paid signup, a referral fee may be earned. That revenue helps keep the reference material available. The operators of those tools control their own search results, terms, charges, and privacy practices.
